Here is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E

Here is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E

Mustang: A name that represents a real milestone in the automotive history. Indeed, the Ford Mustang, which was marketed as soon as 1964, created on its own the category of pony cars. But to stay in the race and maintain its benchmark status in the muscle car class on which it will always have a major influence, Ford decided, faced with the competition’s race for power, to introduce in August 1968 the optional Mach 1 performance package for the 1969 model year. Thus equipped, the Mustang Mach 1 offered exceptional performances. That’s why every Ford model sporting the Mach denomination must be as revolutionary as it is capable. And that’s really what is proposed with the all-new 2021 Mustang Mach-E, which will, just like the original Mustang of its time, change the face of the young electric SUV segment, while offering first rate athleticism. 440 Ford, your Ford dealer of choice in Laval, on the North Shore of Montreal, unveils everything about this electric Mustang here below!

A design that honours the Mustang family lineage in the Greater Montreal!

Some will be outraged when seeing that the new 2021 Mustang Mach-E is an SUV, and fully electric on top of that. Indeed, the Mustang is, historically and especially in its Mach 1 version, the quintessence of motorsport and horsepower according to Ford. But by paying more attention to the lineup, these people should be reassured: the spirit of the Mustang family is really there. Sharp headlights with an aggressive lighting signature, full front “grille” proudly sporting the famous running horse, curved wings and sculpted flanks, and finally, tri-bar taillights shaped like claws, just like on the 2020 Mustang: all the Mustang DNA will be present on the roads of Greater Montreal, but magnified. Indeed, Mustangs have a reputation for fiery horsepower but also for the freedom of going wherever it suits them. And this freedom of movement will be perfectly expressed in the enhanced ground clearance of this all-electric Mustang on the roads linking Laval to the rest of the North Shore of Montreal. Hence, contrary to appearances, the new Ford electric SUV is the purest expression of the Mustang concept: performance, forward-thinking and freedom.

Several very powerful powertrains

The 2021 Mach-E would not be worthy of belonging to the Mustang family in Greater Montreal if its performances weren’t also in attendance. And be reassured that such is the case, thanks to the number of variants that will be available, all more athletic than the last. In total, no less than five versions will be offered: Select, Premium, First Edition, California Route 1 and finally, GT Performance Edition. The numbers announced are really worthy of the blue oval’s family of pony cars: the version able to cover the longest possible distance, the California Route 1, will offer a driving range of up to 475 km with very dynamic accelerations (0–100 km/h in under 7 seconds). But for the pinnacle of performance, you will have to turn to the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition, with its 459 horsepower that produce an enormous torque of 612 lb-ft. In this iteration, the Ford electric SUV should sprint the 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, while its driving range will be around 375 km thanks to its long-lasting battery. On top of the availability of the all-wheel drive, particularly in the performance version mentioned above, you will also be able to opt, depending on the selected model, for a Mach-E with rear-wheel drive. Yours will be the joys of dynamic driving in the Greater Montreal! Regarding the battery and recharging times, the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E will be offered, depending on the version, with a 75.7-kWh battery, or another with a greater capacity of 98.8 kWh. The charging capacity, for its part, will reach up to 150 kW, which will allow you to charge your 2021 Mach-E, in theory, from 10% to 80% in only 38 minutes when connected to a fast-charge outlet.

The interior of the Mustang SUV: yours are the latest technologies

As for the interior of the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, it offers clean lines with a horizontally-designed dashboard, in the center of which sits, tablet like, a stunning touchscreen display of 15.5 in. The latter will allow you to interact with almost all the functionalities offered by this electric Ford Mustang. All of it is, of course, compatible with the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone interfaces, which work wireless from your phone installed on the charging pad, also wireless. The instrument panel located behind the sport steering wheel is of course digital, with a 10.2-inch display. Another first: the interior of the vehicle contains zero animal material. For example, leather was replaced with synthetic materials. You will therefore be able to enjoy all the sportiveness of your 2021 Mustang Mach-E in Laval, on the North Shore and across the Greater Montreal, with an eco-friendly serenity previously unheard-of!
