Among midsize pickups, the 2024 Ford Ranger is the one that will offer the most new features. Fully redesigned, with upgraded mechanics and a clearly more refined style, the 2024 Ranger will not only retain but also expand its capabilities. It will have more muscle to handle the demands of heavy work, as well as other new features enabling it to explore the four corners of the world, embarking on adventures off the beaten path.
Physically, the 2024 Ford Ranger pickup exhibits a more muscular, more mature silhouette. It avails of a redesigned structure that’s slightly wider, with a wheelbase that’s five centimeters longer. While the difference may seem minimal, it improves the vehicle’s stability, as well as the comfort of every occupant.
To make even more of a difference, the automaker has revised the headlights, which now feature a C shape similar to those found on the Ford F-150 and Maverick pickups. Each of the three versions of the 2024 Ranger, the XL, the XLT and the Lariat, boasts its own unique grille design. The Raptor, which, as we know, offers exceptional mechanical power, also has its own individual style and visual identity.
While the style has changed somewhat, the biggest innovations in the 2024 Ford Ranger are in the area of its mechanics. The base versions will continue to run on the efficient powertrain of the outgoing generation. This 2.3 L four-cylinder turbo engine can deliver 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, a new optionally available engine, a 2.7 L V6 turbo, will offer even more power, at 315 hp and 400 lbf·ft of torque. Its maximum tow rating is 7,500 pounds and its maximum payload capacity is 1,805 pounds.
In the cab, the 2024 Ranger will continue to offer its characteristic roominess and comfort, but will feature more similarities to its big brother, the F-150, with a standard 8-inch screen or an available more modern 12.4-inch screen. It also adds a central touchscreen and SYNC 4A, the most advanced version to date of Ford’s venerable infotainment system. As a result, it will be easier to consult the all-terrain data, including navigation, as well as the images from the optionally available 360-degree cameras.
More refined and sophisticated, the 2024 Ford Ranger is the most versatile pickup you’ll find anywhere, and you can find it right here at your Ford 440 dealership.
